Watch Fox news.  Yes, I said it, and I mean it.  Watch Glen Beck. Watch Rush Limbaugh.  Watch, and listen to everything they have to say.

Do this so you can see how fucking crazy some people in this world actually are.  Just like I believe everyone should have to read a book about Nazi Germany, people should know what to fight against.

Exhibit A:

So here we have Glenn Beck sitting behind his desk…complaining about the media asking people to volunteer.  I will repeat.  Glenn Beck does not want influential figures in media to ask people to volunteer.  He says it would be like living in Mao’s Communist China.  Volunteering = Mao’s Great Leap Forward initiative which killed millions and leads to a communist state.  I’m still not sure how the hell he connected the dots on that one.  He proceeds to take a brief snippet of Ashton Kutcher’s speech to help promote the initiative, bends it out of context, and turns it into something in his favor.  For the record, Kutcher was leading to something else.  Yes, it is working for free.  No shit.  But it’s a matter of helping another human being.  He then slams Disney (oh god, NOT RUN BY ABC NETWORK!!! YOU FUCKING WHORE OF A MOUSE!) for giving people free passes to the park for volunteering.  Ok Beck.  Sure, it is not volunteering if its done for free, you are right.  But lets say, in theory, a 12 year old really wants to go to Disney world.  Free Tickets for spending time at a soup kitchen? All over it.  The kid spends their time feeding homeless people, helping his fellow man, and goes to Disney world for free.  1-They helped. 2-the kid is happy. 3-Disney looks good.  But now its a month later.  The kid remembers what it felt like to help someone.  It might be a miniscule percentage, but some of them might go back to help more.  How, Glenn Beck, is this bad? Oh, and here is one of your posterboys shaking hands with the dreaded Mao.

Exhibit B:

Gay marriage.  This is one that I don’t understand because it flat out defies what our country is based upon.  Why do people not want gay marriage?  “Because it should only be a man and a woman.”  But why should it only be a man and a woman?  “It’s in the bible”.  Buuuuuuuut isn’t there that little part on that scibbled piece of paper that states the Seperation of Church and State?  Ok, so you think that they would go to hell.  How is that your problem?  You just continue to try and save the non believers and let them live their lives.  Oh, and if an amendment passes banning gay marriage, it will be the only one that is currently taking away the rights of an American citizen.  Prohibition=repealed.

Exhibit C:

“We cannot live on the assumption that there are sick people not being treated”  Dear Rush…I have not been to a doctor in years…possibly close to 10.  I wake up with a sore back every single day.  I have massive toothaches from teeth that probably need to be pulled.  I need my tonsils out so I can breathe.  I am also paying over 7000 dollars out of pocket from when I had to go to the hospital because I was hit by a car.  Im not a millionaire like you, I wait tables.

Another friend of mine fractured her arm.  She missed a few days of work and doesnt have insurance.  She worked with a makeshift cast on her because she had to.  Which probably made things worse.

We do NOT have the worlds best health care.  Bush SR.  I have asked Canadians.  They don’t have to worry about feeding families or making sure their kids get shots.

I understand your worries.  You keep throwing out the dreaded “S” word.  OMG SOCIALISM!  In other countries, they still pick where they would like to be treated.  They still have state of the art medical equipment (hell, its better than ours).  Their pills cost next to nothing.  Their doctors are still well trained and fucking loaded.

Exhibit D:I havent found the video for it, but Fox news is PIIIIIIISSED the Obama camp wont talk to them.  Well, the media does have the right to report on anything you would like.  In fact, I encourage that.  But if you come up to me after calling me a skinhead for years, and I have defended how I am not a skinhead time after time, at a certain point I would call this a no win situation.  I wouldn’t give you your fucking interview either.  And by the way, you were totally ok with the Bush camp refusing to go on and talk to the NBC networks.

Exhibit E:Just about everything those schmucks say is a load of shit.  They were pissed at Obama for directly addressing kids.  Obamas message…”School is hard. Always will be.  But stick with it and you will be successful.”  You FUCKER! How dare you tell kids the truth.  Attacking the art on buildings in NY.  At what point are you just searching for things to make up stories about.

Here’s the thing.  They keep calling us “Extremist. Leftist. Unamerican.”  The founding fathers were extremists.  Martin Luther King was an extremist.  The people on Fox news will one day be the people we read about in books.  The people that asked Rosa Parks to get to the back of the bus.  The people that performed the lynchings.  They are so one sided, sigle minded, that a legitimate argument will never be heard.  It will take a drastic civil uprising to make a change.  The human race has always evolved.  In our young country, change has always been at the forefront.

Glenn Beck, Rush, Bill O Reilly.  I propose you do NOT love your country.  You love a falsified version of it.  You love the version with fountains for blacks and whites.  You love a version of america that would not survive on its own for another 50 years.  And no, not because Obama is running it into the ground.  Because you keep trying to stall any potential change that could happen.

Calling us UnAmerican is insulting.  Nothing is more American that voicing what change you think could happen.  Which is precisely why I hope you all keep your shows.  So we know what we need to fight against.  And yes, I use the word “WE”.  No red states. No blue states.  A unified people, working to make the country better.  Go ahead. Get in the way.  I dare you.
